This is the most important part of the site. This is the area where those young people we have sponsored have an opportunity to tell their story and describe their experiences.
2004 Awards In April 2004 we reviewed the applications received and are pleased to announce that the following people have been awarded grants by the Colin Graham Challenge Fund: Ingrid Mitchell will be taking a gap year and teaching English in a school in Honduras, Central America in a 12 month placement organised by Project Trust. Helen Curtis will also be taking a Gap year during which she will undertake a 6 month placement teaching in the John Wesley Methodist Primary School in Swaziland. She is teaching English, Maths, Art and Crafts and Games. The placement has been Organised by Gap activity Projects Kerry Moore is also taking a gap year and left in January to travel before doing a 4 month placement teaching English in Argentina. This placement is again organised by Gap Activity Projects. Matthew Garlick is also taking a Gap year and left in January to travel in the Singapore peninsular, Malaysia and Thailand before teaching English for three months at a school in Beijing, China. Following this he plans to travel in China for a further month before returning home on the Trans-Sibweian Express through Mongolia and Russia to St Peterburgh before flying home. Applications Applications for 2004 are now closed. If you would like to apply to the fund for sponsorship in 2005, please submit an application form. The deadline for applications is 31st March 2005. |
